  1. I want to lease my property - How much is it to list a property for lease or rent on HOTrentals.com.au ?

  3. How easy is it to list?
  4. It is very easy - all you need to do in provide your contact details, your item details. There is an easy to use listing tool for writing the description of your item, adding search criteria and uploading photos.

  5. I would like to list online but are there any other options?
  6. You can get your rental listed on HOTrentals very easy and friendly - just regist online, list your rental. Once your applycation is processed the listing will be activated.

  7. How do I get the photos onto the site?
  8. There is a tool for uploading images that you have stored on your computer. The tool will allow you to browse for a photo and upload each image. The image must be a JPEG or GIF format. It will be automatically resized and centred to fit into the available space.

  9. Can I get back in and make changes?
  10. Once you have listed and activated your item, you can login in later and use the management section to make any changes to your listing.

  11. How do I know how many visits I have had to my listing?
  12. After you log back in you can view the number of visits your listing has had by clicking the SHOW VISITS button.

  13. How many photos can I have on my listing?
  14. You have up to 9 photos in the PhotoGallery Section. Up to 5 photos are displayed on your display ad and you can click through from there to the PhotoGallery. The PhotoGallery section also allows you to write a description for each photo. You can also upload an image of your floor plan if you have one for viewing in the PhotoGallery.

  15. How much text can I write to describe my property?
  16. You can write as much description as you like about your property. If you are writing a lot it may be easier to break it up into separate sections with headings. You may wish to provide a space between each paragraph to make the description easier to read.

  17. I have another web site with more details of my item? Can I provide a weblink to it?
  18. There is a section for you to enter a weblink and this link will be displayed at the end of the item description. People can click through from this link to another website, which will come up in a separate browser window.

  19. I have put my rental into the hands of an agent, but I want as much exposure as possible and want to list it on HOTrentals as well? Is that possible?
  20. You can list the rental yourself on HOTrentals but direct any enquires to another person such as your representative or a real estate agent. Make sure the agent is aware that he or she may receive enquiries from the HOTrentals.com.au site. Alternatively, you could ask your real estate agent to list your property on HOTrentals.

  21. How are enquiries received from prospective tenants?
  22. You can provide your contact telephone number or your email address or both. Your telephone number will be shown on your listing display ad if you provide it. Your email address is not shown; an enquirer fills out an online email enquiry form that is sent to you without your email address being disclosed.

  23. How much does it cost to extend my listing if I haven't leased it after 6 months?
  24. You can extend your listing for a further 6 months for free as well. Simply click the EXTEND LISTING button in your administration section and follow the online instructions.

  25. I would like my property listed as a FEATURED LISTING? How do I go about that?
  26. Five FEATURED LISTINGS which assist in bringing additional exposure to your listing are set out on the home page and state search pages. These are available for an additional cost for a two week listing - please ring our Customer Services Staff on 1300 790 770 for details.

  27. If I need any advice or support in listing my rental do you have anyone who can help me?
  28. The HOTrentals Customer Service Staff are available on 1300 790 770 from 9am to 5pm Mon-Fri AEST to assist you with your listing or any other enquiries.

  29. Can I list more than one property for sale?
  30. Yes, you can list multiple perperties and manage them in your administration area after you have logged in. Each item display ad will also have a button that allows people to click through and view the other items that you have available.

  31. Can I have my property available in several different search categories at once eg I have a farm with a home on the outskirts of town? Can I advertise it under residential, rural and commercial?
  32. Yes, if you wish you can place your property in several different categories so that it is searchable for people looking for various property types. Simply tick the relevant boxes when you list your rental. You can change these at any time in the future by logging in and modifying your listing.

  33. I forgot my password? What can I do to retrieve it?
  34. Simply ring us on 1300 790 770 or email us and we will send you a new password. You can then change it again after you login.
